Hi all,

It seems that I am no longer able to search the archive from the link on the BasicLinux website.

Anyway, since I hardly ever use X in BasicLinux, I just realized today what a great utility GNU Screen would be when using BasicLinux at the command-line. I could not find Screen in the Slackware 4 Package repository, and so I downloaded several versions of the source code (from 1997 to 2003) directly from the GNU website. But none of them would compile for me.

Is a Screen package for BasicLinux 3.50 already available? If not, could someone help me get it compiled? Thanks.

Slackware 8.1 has a 'screen' package but 4.0 seems not to.
Try splitvt (in bin.tgz).
